As members of ActionAid, we wanted to support the Jai Jagat march for Justice and Peace, launched by our Indian partner, Ekta Parishad. We wanted to show there is an alternative to the existing economic model, which is devastating for people and the planet.
Groups from Guérande, Lons-le-Saunier and Lyon, walked together to make known the demands of the Jai Jagat and to defend Peace and Justice.
Walking from Paris, Touraine, Jura, Monts-du-Lyonnais, and also from the Lille region, Aubagne, Nancy and Givry, we wanted to make this march a time for exchange, reflection and informing the general public about the Sustainable Development Objectives that we are asking the United Nations to enforce.
Together we walked over 5,000 km - contributing our kilometres to the Walk for Survival.
